My name is Andrew Ninh and I am a researcher and enthusiast in computational biology and bioinformatics. I’ve been doing original research for a few years and have published a few papers and attended several conferences (to view more information about this, please see my research page). In computational biology, I am focused on the application of automata theory and other abstract machinery in simulating biological systems (I am in the process of finishing a book on this). Although I usually engage in bioinformatics and computational biology research, I do engage in health informatics entrepreneurship.
Thinking and philosophy have played major roles in my (particularly early) life and I believe the humanities play a huge role in the future, especially if you believe in the technological singularity. I’ve found studies in the philosophy and foundations of math to be crucial in the way we view biotechnology.
